This policy explains what data Statt Land, Song (statt-land-song.ch) collects and how it is used. It follows the Swiss nDSG and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

2. Data We Collect

Without an account: Game settings (volume, theme), Songdle progress, and session state are stored in your browser's localStorage only — nothing is sent to our servers.

With an account: Login is handled by Auth0 (Okta). We receive a pseudonymous user ID and your chosen display name, which we store to power leaderboards and cross-device sync. We do not store your password.

Game submissions: When you submit a guess, we store the date, your guess (artist, title, year), your score, and your user ID (or an anonymous identifier).

Server logs: Our hosting infrastructure (Deno Deploy) may log IP addresses and request metadata for security purposes. Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

3. Third-Party Services

• Auth0 / Okta — authentication and session management. Privacy policy.
• Apple Music & Spotify — song previews and metadata. Your IP may be visible to their CDN when loading audio. Apple · Spotify.
• Deno Deploy — website hosting. Terms & conditions.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Auth0 may set strictly necessary session cookies.

4. Your Rights

Under Swiss nDSG / GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. To do so, contact us at statt-land-song.inbo.runway762@passinbox.com. We respond within 30 days.

This service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, please contact us.

5. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page always reflects the latest version.
